The Dao of the Dude: An Ode to White Russians
The White Russian may have been born in the '60s, but it's come a long way since then, thanks in part to Jeff Bridges' iconic role in "The Big Lebowski". And just like your Ace Rivington threads, this drink is all about quality ingredients and attention to detail. So when mixing up your own White Russian at home, be sure to choose a premium vodka (preferably a Russian one to stay on theme), and opt for heavy cream instead of half-and-half or milk to achieve that rich, velvety texture.
White Russian Cocktail Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 oz premium vodka (we recommend Stolichnaya)
- 1 oz Kahlúa
- 1 oz heavy cream
Instructions:
- Fill a rocks glass with ice.
- Pour in the vodka and Kahlúa.
- Add in the heavy cream and stir gently.
- Kick back, sip, and savor your White Russian as the dude would do.
But what if you're not in the mood for alcohol? Fear not, the Ace Rivington man never has to sacrifice sobriety for sophistication. Try this non-alcoholic version of the White Russian for all the dudeness without the buzz:
Non-Alcoholic White Russian Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 oz non-alcoholic Kahlúa (or any coffee-flavored syrup)
- 1 oz heavy cream
- 1 oz milk
- Optional: 2 oz Strykk "Not Vodka"
Instructions:
- Fill a rocks glass with ice.
- Pour in the non-alcoholic Kahlúa (or coffee-flavored syrup).
- Add in the heavy cream and milk.
- Stir gently.
- Optional: add 2 oz Strykk "Not Vodka" with the non-alcoholic Kahlúa
